Hamilton County Commissioner Curtis Adams will take the city manager position in Crossville, Tenn., after the county holds its budget hearings in May, he said late Tuesday night.
"It's a fine political town," he said of Crossville. "All four city councilmen are outstanding businessmen there. It's a different breed, and they don't owe a dime."
One of his colleagues did not seem surprised when greeted with the news.
"Knowing Curtis, he can definitely shock you with something like this," said Bill Hullander, Hamilton County commissioner for District 9.
