Interstate 24 wreck leaves one dead

A two-vehicle crash this afternoon on Interstate 24 involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one person dead, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred in Marion County in eastbound lanes near mile marker 161, Mike Browning with the Tennessee Department of Safety said.

An occupant of the passenger vehicle was killed, he said.
