Miniature Precision Components Inc. is creating 118 jobs and investing $7.5 million in Warren County, Tenn., officials said Thursday.
MPC, a supplier to Volkswagen's Chattanooga plant, makes products for the automotive, lawn and garden, and commercial industries.
"Today's announcement is a step in the right direction to help bolster the area economy," said Gov. Phil Bredesen about the facility to be about 80 miles from Chattanooga.
The facility is expected to open on Aug. 1 as a distribution center and later include manufacturing.
