The City of East Ridge and the Tennessee River Rescue Group are seeking volunteers for the annual Tennessee River Rescue at Spring Creek. This year, the event will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration and a morning briefing will take place at the City of East Ridge garage at 1510 Yale St.
To register as a volunteer, please contact Larry Clark, the Tennessee River Rescue coordinator for the East Ridge Zone at 423-443-1806. Volunteers can also register the morning of the event. Additional details will follow in this column.
