Man identified in Watts Bar drowning

A man who drowned on Watts Bar Lake in Meigs County on Saturday has been identified.

Officials with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday evening the man was 57-year-old Randall Bardill of Harriman, Tenn.

Boaters found Bardill’s body in the water near Euchee Marina and Sand Island shortly before 6 p.m.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is handling the investigation. No other information about the drowning was available Sunday night and TWRA agents did not return phone calls.
