A 14-year-old boy remains in intensive care at a local hospital after he was shot in the mouth Sunday evening, according to a released statement from Chattanooga Police Department.
The incident took place near the 2700 block of Fourth Avenue and the boy was able to run to 2237 E. 27th St. where police and paramedics responded.
The boy was unable to give investigators details about the incident.
Police are still trying to compile information on the gunman.
