Rossville man arrested for armed robbery in Chattanooga

A Rossville man who was wanted for stealing a purse during an armed robbery at the Hixson Walmart was arrested in Dalton, Ga. on other charges.

Dalton Police arrested Eric Reeves on Friday after chasing him in his vehicle and then on foot, authorities said.

Reeves had a warrant in Hamilton County for the robbery at the Hixson Walmart on Aug. 24, said Chattanooga Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

After Reeves was arrested in Dalton he was also charged with reckless driving, too fast for conditions, fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer, and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer, Weary said.
