Memphis police have charged one of their own, a 25-year-old officer, with having sex with a 14-year-old girl as well as sending her nude photos of himself, police officials announced Tuesday.
Sex-crimes investigators charged officer Ericck L. Cain with aggravated statutory rape and exploitation of a minor by electronic means, according to a statement released by a public information officer.
Deputy Chief Dave Martello said Cain and the victim are related, but he didn't know how closely.

Why was it surprising that he was arrested and charged. Public officials are regularly arrested and charged. If you know of one that needs to be (actually know, not just listening to neighborhood gossip)and you are not filing the complaints then you are part of the problem.
