Chattanooga Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that caused a traffic accident late last night at 1020 Bailey Ave.
Demario Howard, 22, was driving on Bailey Avenue when a red vehicle began driving parallel to him, police said.
Howard told police he then heard two loud pops and felt pain in his arm, causing him to wreck his vehicle into a wall on the Bailey Ave. bridge, according to police.
Howard was taken to a local hospital where he was treaded for a broken arm, an injury caused by the bullet hitting his arm.
Howard told police he didn't see who fired the weapon or who was driving the vehicle.
Chattanooga police are investigating the shooting and are gathering information about the vehicle described by Howard.
No arrests have been made at this time.

Let all these drug dealer kill each other, problem solved.
Indeed.
But what if it isn't a case of the drug dealer or gang banger, but someone(s) who wants it to look that way?
Aren't there cameras on parts of Bailey and McCallie Ave? If so, maybe they can obtain footage from the cameras, even if the cameras weren't near the shootings, and go from there. At some point that red vehicle may have passed by one of those cameras.
