1:22 p.m.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition host Ty Pennington arrived on set a little after 1:00 p.m. today.

He went inside to film a scene with the designers Ed Sanders and Xzbit, walked around the build with lead builder Craig Smith and helped volunteers carry in a few packs of insulation before heading back to his trailer at about 1:22 p.m.

12:12 p.m.

Celebrity designer Ed Sanders said that even after several seasons with the show, it is still an emotional process for him. "It's going to affect me the way it affects the guys and girls watching the show." Speaking to media members just after noon, Sanders said he and Xzibit would try to build some kind of accessible club house in the back yard for Patrick Sharrock, the 9 year old boy with brittle bone disease. At the center of the build, Sanders said he and Xzibit panicked when Patrick got out of his wheel chair to show them the bush he would hide under as his club house on Sunday, and seeing him do that inspired the designers to brainstorm accessible options. "He still a 9 year old boy with 9 year old tendencies", Sanders said.

11:48 a.m.

Architect Jon Greenfield said the Sharrocks will have a European farmhouse style with an all stone front face. He said the indoor pool will be 7 1/2 feet by 11 feet. One of the first mistakes of the build, Greenfield said, workers installed a front window 30 inches to high and had to remove the window and cut out part of a panel to slide it down. He said the design and features of the house are all based on the questionnaire the Sharrocks filled out before they left. He also said after leaving last night, he is impressed with the progress, "I came back in 9 hours and it's what you see."

11:35 a.m.

Roofers began tacking shingles onto the roof about 11:15 a.m. More than 20 workers are on the roof nailing down shingles as fast as crews can pass fresh materials up.

Crews just removed the large window in front of the house and appear to be carrying some of the paneling below it . No other details about the window were immediately available.

10:09 a.m.

Overnight crews made up about 3 hours of progress on the house, but remain about 5 hours behind schedule according to lead builder Jason Willard. In a press briefing this morning Willard said 75 dry wall installers were ready to get to work later today and he hoped the crew could catch up once they get started. "We'll catch it up somewhere" said Willard.

Willard also said the house would be one story despite the high roof line and workers had poured a slab to accommodate a small indoor swimming pool for Patrick Sharrock's therapy. He said currently the project is a little over budget especially with stone and gravel but overall crews have done nearly three months worth of work since Sunday.

In about 12 hours, the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition crew took a foundation and joists and turned into somethings which resembles a house. Dozens of workers were crawling around the house at 9:30 a.m. working on forming windows, roofing and other jobs. The house appears to be high enough for two stories, but crew members said Tuesday it would only be one level because of Patrick Sharrock's brittle bown condition. The house appears to have a garage on one side and a small front porch on the other. A press conference with builders is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and more details will be available after the meeting.
