WEDNESDAY CLOSURES, CANCELLATIONS

• All volunteer services for the Bradley County jail are cancelled until Tuesday, Jan. 18.

• The Eads Bluff Neighborhood Watch meeting in Bradley County on Thursday has been postponed.

• Volunteer Orientation at the Bradley County Sheriff's Office on Thursday has been cancelled.

• The January State Board of Education meeting that was delayed to tomorrow, January 13, has now been CANCELLED due to the inclement weather. The meeting will be rescheduled for Thursday, January 20 (one-day meeting), beginning with committee meetings at 8:30 a.m.

• Unum will delay opening until 9 a.m. today.

• UTC closed Wednesday.

• CARTA buses are operating today, Wednesday, Jan. 12, but with detours on some routes and possible delays in the schedules. The #1 Alton Park route will not provide service to the Piney Woods area, and the #8 Eastdale route will not provide service past the Dee Drive area. • Hamilton County schools will be closed.

• Whitfield County schools closed Wednesday.

Due to lingering icy and snowy road conditions, the following Memorial Health Care System offices will have limited operating hours:· Memorial Cardiac Rehab at the Glenwood Campus will open at 9 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.· Memorial Wound Healing Center will open at 9 a.m. and close at noon.· Memorial Outpatient Physical Therapy at Glenwood will open at 9:30 and close at 4 p.m.· Memorial Outpatient Physical Therapy at the Hamilton YMCA will open at 1 p.m. and close at 4 p.m.· Memorial Outpatient Physical Therapy at North Park will open at 10 a.m.· Dr. Vincent Viscomi's Sleep Clinic will open at 1 p.m.

• Dalton Public Schools closed Wednesday.

• Bradley County and Cleveland City Schools will be closed.

• Chickamauga City Schools have canceled classes for Wednesday.

• Murray County schools closed Wednesday.

• Gordon County schools will be closed Wednesday.

• Dade County schools will be closed Wednesday because of icy road conditions, according to Superintendent Patty Priest. Priest says very few local roads have been cleared and travel is still hazardous throughout the county.

• Catoosa County Public Schools closed Wednesday.

• Walker County schools will be closed.

• Trion City Schools have canceled classes for Wednesday.

• Calhoun City Schools have canceled classes for Wednesday.

• Meigs County schools will be closed.

• Baylor will be closed Wednesday.

• Notre Dame High School will be closed.

• All campuses of Georgia Northwestern Technical College will be closed.

• North Georgia county health departments and health district office closed Wednesday.

• Whitfield County officials canceled a called Boarrd of Education meeting set for Wednesday. The meeting will be rescheduled.

• Dalton-Whitfield County Joint Development Authority Special Meeting has been postponed.

• No garbage or recycling collection in Chattanooga this week. Service will resume Monday, Jan. 17.

• The City of Red Bank has cancelled garbage service for the rest of this week. Regular garbage routes will resume Monday, Jan. 17.

• Neighborhood Roundtable meeting has been cancelled by the City's Neighborhood Services Department. A rescheduled date has not been determined at this time.

• Animal Care Trust Board meeting will be rescheduled to January 19, at 5:00 PM at the McKamey Animal Center.
