The Taco Bell restaurant on Signal Mountain closed abruptly Tuesday night at 10 p.m., according to the store manager.
The manager, who did not give her name, said employees found out about the sudden decision Monday morning.
“It caught us completely off guard,” she said.
She said employees were not given a reason for the closing, and that there was no indication it would be reopened soon at its 1205 Taft Highway location.
She said some employees would be transferred to other Taco Bell franchises, but that several would lose their jobs.
Taco Bell’s corporate office could not be reached Tuesday evening.
