East Ridge Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit with a stolen vehicle at approximately 2:40 a.m. this morning.
Officers initiated a traffic stop with the dark 1999 Ford F350 truck but the driver refused to stop.
Dispatch advised officers the vehicle matched the description of one stolen in the City of Chattanooga. A lengthy pursuit ensued involving multiple officers from both East Ridge and Chattanooga Police Departments.
The suspect was apprehended in the 5300 block of Wilson Rd. near the state line following a brief foot chase.
The suspect has been identified as 41-year-old William W. Drummy of Chattanooga. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with Felony Evading Arrest, Felony Reckless Endangerment, Theft over $10,000 and Driving on a Revoked Drivers License. Police say further charges may be pending.
