DeKalb County, Ala., deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.
Deputies were alerted around noon today to the presence of two deceased individuals — and man and woman — inside a home on County Road 675, according to a statement from Sheriff Jimmy Harris.
Deputies and Rainsville police responded and confirmed the deaths.
“It is early in the investigation but from all indications, this appears to have been a murder-suicide,” Harris said in the statement.
The bodies of both individuals, whose names are being withheld until all appropriate notifications are made, have been sent to Huntsville for forensic examination.
