Marion County, Grace Academy win

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Kelsey Thomas had a double and two RBIs and was also the winning pitcher in Marion County's 5-3 victory over Houston County in a Class A high school state-tournament losers-bracket game today at Starplex No. 4.

Afterward, Grace Academy beat Unaka 10-0 in five innings, capping their scoring with Savannah Jeno's three-run homer.

Marion (36-9) plays Grace (39-8-1) at 6 p.m. EDT with the winner advancing to the losers-bracket final.
