Body found in trailer undergoing autopsy

Staff Report

Investigators hope an autopsy conducted on a man found dead in a trailer off Airport Road will given them more clues about how he died.

The man was found dead Tuesday morning but, as of Wednesday evening, Chattanooga police had released no information about the man's identity or the circumstances surrounding his death.

The autopsy was being done Wednesday, authorities said.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary said Wednesday no information would be released to the public until the autopsy was complete.

An investigator leaving the man's trailer Tuesday afternoon said that the death was a "solvable crime."

Neighbors said there had been a break-in at trailer No. 106 and they saw a body carried out by authorities.
