Crime Stoppers and the Chattanooga Police Department are looking for information into the homicide of Chance LeCroy last year.
On Sept. 9, 2010 at about 11:55 a.m., LeCroy and his roommate were inside their residence at 1221 Johnston Terrace when LeCroy’s roommate was awakened by the sound of a gunshot, officials said. LeCroy, 21 at the time, was shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An unknown suspect forced LeCroy’s roommate to the floor and held a gun to the back of his head until the suspect left the area, officials said. The suspect or suspects may have left in a pickup truck that was seen exiting the driveway.
Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333. Calls are confidential and can make people eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
