A group of four young men and women robbed a 70-year-old man today while he was mowing a lawn.
Lavon Chandler was mowing at 3927 Webb Road about 2 p.m. today when two men and two women came up to him and asked for a cigarette, according to news release from Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.
Chandler didn’t have one, and when he turned around to continue mowing, one of them punched him and the rest brought him to the ground, Weary said.
One of them, Chandler told police, had a gun. They took his wallet and ran toward nearby apartments, Weary said.
While no arrests have been made, Weary said police are following leads. If anyone has any information about the incident, they can call police at 423-698-2525.

Those four kids are an embarrassment to their families, communities and humanity. They need to found and sent to work 14-hour shifts in a coal mine for the next 10 years. Maybe, maybe that will give them some appreciation for their freedom and how to treat others properly.
Geez. Now I have to put a gun rack on the lawnmower.
It's bad enough having to carry a gun to the mailbox to fight off the killer-breed dogs running free in pairs around here.
