3rd man arrested in Chattanooga carjacking

A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a carjacking in Chattanooga last month, according to a police affidavit.

Stephone Lee Reed, 21, was charged Tuesday with aggravated robbery and theft over $500, the affidavit said. He was arrested Tuesday at 701 S. Germantown Road, the affidavit said. He is being held in Hamilton County Jail.

On March 31, Chattanooga Police Department was called to 312 McBrien Road, the affidavit said. The victim, Amanda West, arrived home, and three black males approached her and demanded at gunpoint the items in her hand as well as her car, the affidavit said. They took the items and West's vehicle and drove off.

The other two suspects, Anston Baker and Demarqus Dillard, were arrested after being found with the stolen vehicle by Tennessee Highway Patrol and Bradley County Sheriff's Department, but Reed fled, the affidavit said.

All three suspects are gang-affiliated, the affidavit said. Reed's court date is set for April 24.
