Rhonda Thurman re-elected to Hamilton County school board

Rhonda Thurman will keep her seat on the Hamilton County Board of Education.

The two-term incumbent garnered 3,994 votes to challenger Katherine Benefield’s 1,360 votes — a 75 to 25 percent split.

“I’m always humbled by the voters having confidence in me,” Thurman said.

All vote totals, which include federally mandated provisional ballots, are unofficial until certified by the Tennessee Department of Elections.
