A 29-year-old man was grazed by a bullet Sunday at a grocery store on Tunnel Boulevard, only hours after another man was shot to death on the same street, police say.
Johnny Wade was treated at the scene for the nonlife-threatening injury, said Chattanooga police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig.
Police believe Wade was targeted by the suspect, Hartwig said, but they’re not sure whether it was related to the killing of a 29-year-old Darrell Tremel Lane Sunday morning in the 200 block of Tunnel Boulevard.
Wade was shot about 5 p.m. while at Jordan Grocery at 1114 Tunnel Boulevard.
There’s no indication that either shooting was gang related, Hartwig said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
