2 Birmingham police officers in I-59 gunfight

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Authorities are investigating a gunfight between two Birmingham police officers and several suspects on Interstate 59.

Police said in a statement that officers were summoned around 8 p.m. Friday for a report of gunfire near I-59 north and the exit for 22nd Street.
