FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Five people have been arrested on drug charges in two unrelated busts, according to Sheriff Jimmy Harris of DeKalb County, Ala.
The first bust took place in when Ider, Ala., police went to serve a warrant at a home on Woodland Drive. The officers smelled methamphetamine and called in the sheriff’s drug task force, which recovered a meth lab and some cooked product.
Thomas D. Hart, 46, of Ider; Carol Sue Bolton, 46, of Jasper, Tenn., and Ashley Renee Burton, 22, of Chattanooga, are charged with manufacturing and possessing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Separately, drug task force agents found marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia when they searched a home on County Road 42o in the Hammonds Crossroads area.
Stanley Clinton Johnson, 36, of Boaz, and Jamey Kennamer Johnson, 36, of Fyffe, were both charged with possession of marijuana, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
