Parts of Rhea County suffer power outage

City of Dayton Utility had a substation outage on Monday evening around 6 p.m., according to officials.

Residents, throughout the city limits and parts of Rhea County, lost electrical power sporadically, from 6 p.m until nearly 8:45 p.m.

Dispatch officers, with the city of Dayton Police, fielded calls for the utility company while residents weren't able to reach the utility company's emergency phone line.

Further explanation wasn't given at press time.
