Georgia man runs over victim of home invasion

SPRINGFIELD, Ga. — Police in Effingham County have identified a man wanted on kidnapping and aggravated assault charges.

WTOC-TV reports 35-year-old Brandon Peters, of Springfield, pushed his way into a woman’s home and tied her up Thursday.

Officials say Peters put the unidentified victim in her van and drove to a local bank to withdraw money from an ATM.

Police say the woman struggled to break free and fell out of the van. Authorities say Peters ran the woman over and fled the scene.

Police say the woman was hospitalized with serious injuries.
