3 die in wreck in North Georgia

Three people are dead and another injured after a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 53 near Fairmount, Ga.

One vehicle rolled over in the deadly Christmas Day wreck, Georgia State Patrol dispatchers said. The incident happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 53 and Mauldin Road.

Officers closed both lanes of Highway 53 at that intersection and are investigating the crash. The names of the victims and the condition of the injured person have not been released.
