Police trace phone, find stolen car in Bradley County

Three men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a car from a church parking lot in Bradley County.

Travis Grissom, 20; Jack D. Murphy III, 20; and Sebastian Howard, 18, were arrested and charged with theft over $1,000, burglary of an auto and theft under $500, according to Bob Gault, spokesman for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

The owner of the 2002 Ford Explorer Sport discovered it missing from the parking lot on Elkmont Baptist Church on Old Freewill Road. The owner left his key and an iPhone in his car.

Officers traced the cellphone and located it and the car. Both were returned to the owner.

The suspects were taken to the Bradley County jail. Bond is set at $12,000 each.
