Grundy County go-kart accident claims two young lives

A tragic accident on Northcutts Cove Road in Grundy County has claimed the lives of two young boys after the go-kart they were riding in rolled into the path of an oncoming car.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 11-year-old Nicholas Keener and his four-year-old brother Calvin were riding in a go-kart down a hill on the backside of their residence Saturday afternoon when they went rolling out into the roadway.

An Oldsmobile driven by 30-year-old woman was traveling north on the road and never saw the boys. Her car struck the go-kart and sent it approximately 100 feet down the road, partially ejecting both of the boys.
