DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson beat the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team 56-52 tonight at Belk Arena.
UTC led 35-33 with 12:21 to play following a Faith Dupree jumper, but a quick 8-0 run by Davidson gave the Wildcats a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
Whitney Hood, who scored UTC’s first eight points, led all scorers with 18 points. Ka’Vonne Towns had a career-high eight. Davidson's Sophia Aleksandravicius led the Wildcats with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Mocs are off until Saturday when they host UNC Greensboro.
