Alzheimer’s patient missing in Chattooga County

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an elderly Georgia woman.

Dixie Yvonne Brown, who is disabled, was last seen at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Dry Creek Road and Haywood Valley Road near Summerville, sheriff’s officials said.

She is 74 years old with gray eyes and hair. She’s about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, officials said. She was last seen wearing black leather sneakers, black sweat pants and a white T-shirt over a black long-sleeve shirt.

Brown suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and sometimes uses her maiden name of Dixie Faulkner.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office at 706-857-3413 or the 911 Center at 706-857-0750.
