Chief of Hamilton County STARS passes away

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN. — A Hamilton County official has passed away over the weekend.

Clay Ingle with Hamilton County Special Tactics and Rescue Service (STARS) says Chief Jim Poplin died Saturday of an illness.

Chief Poplin founded STARS in 1983 and served as its only chief.
