Friday, July 27, 2012

The Hamilton County Republican Party will host Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey on Aug. 3 to kick off the state Senate District 10 general election campaign.

Republicans Todd Gardenhire and Greg Vital are facing off in an Aug. 2 primary to represent the party on the Nov. 6 ticket. Both candidates have agreed, win or lose, to attend the noon event, party chairman Marty Von Schaaf said Friday.

"Lt. Gov. Ramsey will be here to congratulate the winner and more or less kick off the campaign for the general election in November," Von Schaaf said.

The party headquarters is located at 1428 Chestnut St., Suite E.
