Child hit by car in Bradley County taken to Erlanger

A 6-year-old child reportedly hit by a car this morning and thrown 75 feet was airlifted by a helicopter from Bradley County to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga.

The Bradley County Emergency Medical Service said the incident occurred in the 5200 block of Georgetown Road, also known as state Highway 60.

The BCEMS said the child had suffered “critical injuries.”

Stan Clark of the BCEMS said the youngster was with family members at a yard sale before reportedly running into the roadway.
