Police are looking for a suspect in the second stabbing in downtown Chattanooga in two days.
The man is wanted in connection with Thursday’s stabbing of 33-year-old Tammie Green at Country Hearth Inn & Suites at 101 E. 20th St., said police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig.
After police arrived a little after 4 p.m., they took Green to the hospital with stabs wounds to her head and neck that were not life-threatening, he said.
The incident happened in Room 234, Sgt. Jeff Rearden said at the scene, where a large hunting knife believed used in the stabbing was recovered.
On Wednesday, police said, a 71-year-old woman was stabbed in the right side of her head and neck by an ex-boyfriend.
After being stabbed while sitting in Whiteside Faith Manor at 735 E. 10th St., Dorris Boozer was treated at Erlanger and released, police said.
Walter Bradley, 62, faces charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder in the stabbing.
Boozer and Bradley dated two years ago, she told police.
Bradley is scheduled to appear April 5 before General Sessions Court Judge Ronald Durby.
