The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golf team won the NCAA South Central Regional on Saturday at the Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky.
Senior Stephan Jaeger won medalist honors by shooting a 6-under 66 on Sunday which put him at 13 under for the three-round tournament. Pedro Figueiredo of UCLA finished second at 9 under.
UTC junior Steven Fox tied for third at 5 under with Jonathan Fly of Memphis and Virginia Tech.
The Mocs shot 4 under in the final round to finish at 5 under and one shot ahead of Texas A&M. UCLA finished third at 1 under, Virginia Tech was fourth at 10 over and Memphis finished in fifth at 12 over.
Each of those five teams, including UTC, advance to the NCAA championship which will be played May 29-June 3 at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.
