The man who was killed in a motorcycle wreck at 5700 Highway 153 Thursday has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Cash.
Cash, a Soddy-Daisy resident, was driving his motorcycle south on Highway 153 when Shirley Charlton, 77, turned left in front of him in her Buick. Cash hit the Buick and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to Chattanooga spokesperson Nathan Hartwig.
The motorcycle and the Buick caught fire, witnesses said.
Both Cash and Charlton were transported to the hospital, where Cash was pronounced dead. Charlton sustained minor injuries and is in stable condition, Hartwig said.
The investigation is ongoing.
