NASHVILLE — A 13-year-old Cheatham County boy is recovering after being shot at a firing range.
According to WKRN-TV, the incident happened Saturday evening at the Cheatham County Wildlife Management Area.
Officials say the boy, who has not been identified, was with his family checking on their targets when a woman went to move several firearms on a bench. That apparently resulted in a revolver being discharged, striking the boy in his abdomen.
The boy was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting.
