West 6th Street between Chestnut and Pine streets in downtown Chattanooga will be closed for overhead pedestrian walkway construction beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to the City Traffic Engineer’s office.
The project is scheduled to last about two months, and the street section will reopen Nov. 1, according to a news release. Detours will be posted.
