Delivery dates for the September gallery change will come early at the Shanks Center for the Arts, 140 N. Main St., in Crossville, Tenn.
Because of the Labor Day holiday weekend, artworks will be accepted 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, and noon-4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26. The First Thursday reception will remain as scheduled on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Regular hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday (all times are Central).
More than 600 Cumberland County fourth-graders are expected to visit the Shanks Center in September as part of a field trip to downtown Crossville. Organizers of the exhibit are hoping to display items from every medium, including two- and three-dimensional, to provide a rich cultural experience for the students.
Two front galleries are open-themed, and a third will feature "Everything Animals."
