DEMOPOLIS, Ala. — Some of Alabama's historic homes are having holiday events this weekend.
The Alabama Historical Commission says Gaineswood, Bluff Hall and Lyon Hall in Demopolis will be open for candlelight tours Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Gaineswood will also have an open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the Christmas in the Canebrake celebration in Demopolis.
Greensboro's Porch and Parlor Christmas Tour of Home sis coming up Sunday afternoon. It includes Magnolia Grove, the Noel-Ramsey House, Magnolia Hall and others.
Belle Monte Mansion in Tuscumbia transforms into a holiday party Sunday with traditional greenery and ballroom dancers. The event is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
