A man has been rescued from inside a silo at the ADM Milling plant in downtown Chattanooga.

Chattanooga Fire Department spokesman Bruce Garner said an ADM employee was injured while he was being lowered into one of the silos.

Reports indicate the victim was hit by falling equipment in the silo. The fire department reportedly had to harness themselves to enter the silo and retrieve the victim.

Authorities say the victim did not sustain critical injuries.
