Police identified the victim of the fatal downtown Nashville collision as 17-year-old Elena Zamora, a junior at Hume-Fogg High School.

Hume-Fogg, like all Metro high schools, had half school days while final exams were administered.

At 1 p.m., the teenager was hit by a tractor trailer as she crossed the corner of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Church Street.
