Down by six points with 13:47 left tonight at McKenzie Arena, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team produced a strong finish to beat UNC Greensboro 74-68 and remain in first place in the Southern Conference.
A 14-0 run, including three Kayla Christopher 3-pointers, helped the Lady Mocs pull ahead. Christopher scored 20 points and hit five 3s to move into a tie with Katasha Brown for second place all-time at UTC in career 3s with 216.
The Lady Mocs have now won 11 straight games and 24 in a row at the Roundhouse
UNCG led 32-31 at the half thanks to 10 UTC turnovers and four Jessica Collins 3s.
