Audit: Man used town's credit card to buy testosterone booster, guns, women's jeans

ROCKWOOD — For years, Rockwood Public Works Director Tom Pierce had access to two credit cards belonging to the town.

During three of those years, Pierce went on a personal spending spree with the Visa and WalMart cards, according to a state investigative audit report released Wednesday.

Pierce, 55, charged an arsenal of weapons and the ammo for them on the cards, along with polo shirts and cargo shorts, two pricey digital cameras and testosterone booster.

All told, Pierce rang up “ at least” $32,725 in personal purchases between January 2009 and January 2012, according to the audit by the state comptroller’s office.
