Sixty residents displaced after major apartment fire in Rome, Ga.

ROME, Ga. – Sixty residents are displaced after a major apartment fire here.

An early morning blaze consumed 20 units at the Ashton Ridge Apartments, 2522 Callier Springs Rd SE.

Red Cross volunteers will open a temporary shelter at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1941 Shorter Avenue, according to a news release.
