Penn State won its third consecutive Southern Scuffle championship at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s McKenzie Arena Wednesday, outscoring runner-up Oklahoma State by 25.5 points.
The Nittany Lions got championship efforts from Nico Negaludis (125), Ed Ruth (184) and Quentin Wright (197) and runner-up efforts from James Volrath (157) and David Taylor (165).
Other winners were John Morrison (133), Jordan Oliver (149) and Chris Perry (174) from Oklahoma State, Michael Nevinger (141) and Kyle Dake (165) from Cornell, Virginia’s Jedd Moore (157) and Missouri’s Dom Bradley (285).
Missouri placed third with 147.5 points and the top five was rounded out with Minnesota (139.5) and Cornell (136).
