Despite a forecast of possible rain, the Pops on the River celebration set for Wednesday will continue as planned.
Organizers said that the free outdoor performance presented by the Chattanooga Symphony at Coolidge Park won’t be cancelled unless extreme weather conditions occur at the time of the performance at 8 p.m.
Unless there is heavy rain, the fireworks will also take place as planned at 9:45 p.m.
Organizers also said there is no rain date for the event.
The release said,
“We hope that you will make plans to participate in this annual tradition to celebrate Independence Day sponsored by the city of Chattanooga, ArtsBuild, Integrity Buick GMC Cadillac and Integrity Chevrolet and Chick-fil-A.”
Chattanooga Presents produces Pops on the River with promotional support from the Chattanooga Times Free Press and Sunny 92.3.
