Woman injured in Dade County ATV accident

An accident involving an all-terrain vehicle left one woman in the hospital with a number of broken bones Saturday night, according to a spokeswoman for Dade County dispatch.

The 57-year old woman was four-wheeling on Sand Mountain at the end of Dennis Road, a heavily wooded area, when she was thrown from the vehicle. First responders found her in the middle of the highway.

The dispatcher said the woman suffered a broken arm and possibly a broken clavicle and ribs. The woman was transported to Erlanger via Life Force.

No details as to the cause of the accident or the woman’s identity are currently available.
