6-month-old girl shot in head while parents fought over gun

A 6-month-old girl was fatally shot in the midst of a domestic dispute between her parents at their South Knox County home Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The infant’s parents, identified as Angela Major, 26, and Ken Mason, 40, are both charged with reckless homicide, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

Each parent was being held Wednesday night in lieu of $1 million bond.

Authorities did not release the girl's name.
