Stop Violence event set for March 17

A community Stop the Violence Concert will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 17 at the Salvation Army gymnasium at 2140 E. 28th St.

The concert lineup includes Big Mike Mic, Brian Billups, Marcus Lee, Sasha's Signing group and RMJR.

Event organizer LaToya Holloman said there also will be a march against gang violence at 3:30 p.m. beginning at Temple Baptist Church, 3402 Clio Ave., and ending at the Salvation Army.
